We are pleased to invite you to Local Voices: Heritage and Neighbourhood Character on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 7 pm. This edition of Local Voices will be a webinar courtesy of West Vancouver Memorial Library. Please register via the link below.
While we have been spending more time at home, the character of our neighbourhoods has become more important than ever. Join Local Voices as we explore the role of heritage in defining the character of our neighbourhoods and the communities we call home, and learn a little local history along the way!
Our participants:
· Jackie Swanson, past-president of the Hollyburn Ridge Association, on re-vitalizing the cabin community
· Tom Dodd, Chair of West Vancouver’s Neighbourhood Character Working Group, on neighbourhood character in the municipality
· John Mawson and the restoration of West Vancouver’s Cianci House
· Tony Dean & Yvonne Perrault and the relocation of Copper Cottage in North Vancouver
Your participation during the Q&A makes Local Voices the lively and informative community asset that it is. How do you define heritage? Have you a heritage story to share? Have you a community heritage asset in your neighbourhood? Do tell!
